But most of the water going into these recharging ponds comes from the Colorado River.

I am looking for information about a very old friend named Mike Ellis of Miraleste in Palm Springs who had a very good friend named Steve Morris of Palm Speings and also a friend named Steve Nichols also of Palm Springs. I knew Mike from camp Ta-ha-do-wa days in the early 60's. And I never understood what happened to him and what his last years were like after we lost touch. If you are this Steve Morris I would appreciate hearing from you. If not, please excuse this intrusion. Thank you, George Hopkins 1504 Morada Plzce Altadena 91001 626-396-1314 (home) 626-494-1004 (cell)

Incorrect name. Should say "Welwood Murray Cemetery".
  • The Fairways, Peter Cottontail (guest) wrote 11 years ago:
The Fairways is a mismanaged, going to "hell in a hand bucket" complex where the board can't rework the Indian land lease and the lease time has sunk below the time needed for a 30 year lease, where the board is made of Canadians who come for ten weeks then go home to there "real" homes and problems, where drug dealers have flourished over the years, where the fulltime owners drive in, close their doors and windows and never look out at the disgraceful gardening and vandalism going on around them and property values have nosedived and stayed that way. Beware if they ever do come to an agreement with the Indian, there will be a $20,000 or more assessment, just to buy out the "sandwich lease" and cut the land lease by half! You do the numbers!

AES should be using silicon nitrite ball bearings. The whole industry is moving toward hybrid bearings such as this. The advantage is 80% less friction. That means increase in performance and a decrees in cost for maintenance.

It's not true. The aquifer under Palm Springs is actually tightly contained within the Coachella Valley. That makes it perfect for aquifer water storage, since the water isn't going to flow elsewhere.

if you love Jewish deli food, you are doing yourself a disservice by not visiting Sherman's deli. Everything is great, and sweets/desserts that blow Canter's outta the water.
